Terms & Conditions

1. Contract of Hire
All Bookings accepted by Casa Castagna (the “Property’) are subject to these terms and conditions, which are deemed to have been accepted in full by the person or persons making the Booking and all those staying with them in the Property (together the ‘Renting Party’).

2. Confirmation
A Booking can be made by telephone or e-mail and and acceptance of the Booking by the Owner is subject to payment in accordance with paragraph 3 below and receipt of payment in full.

3. Payment
1/3 of rental money is due at the time of the booking with balance payable 8 weeks prior to arrival date. Payment must be by wire transfer, details to be provided. An additional deposit of £500 is required no less than 3 weeks before the start of the rental period and will be refunded at end of your stay, provided the Property is returned without damage or breakage of the house and or its contents.

4. Damage to Property
The Renting Party are responsible for the cost of making good any damage to the Property and or its contents, which has occurred as a result of the negligence, wilful damage or irresponsible behaviour of the Renting Party or their guests. In the event of any such damage, the nature and circumstances must be reported to the Owner without delay in order that the cost of any repair or replacement can be assessed and paid for.

5. Renting Party’s Responsibilities
The Renting Party is responsible for taking all reasonable care of the Property and its contents. The Property and its contents, including all floors, bathrooms, furniture, kitchen surfaces, equipment and utensils, must be left clean and tidy at the end of the rental period.

6. Occupation
Only persons notified to the Owner at the time of the Booking as being included in the Rental Party may occupy the Property. No more than 15 people may occupy the Property without the Owner’s prior consent. The Property must not be re-let/sublet to any other group/party without the written approval of the Owner. Check-in is Saturday afternoon after 4pm and Check-out is Saturday morning by 10am. Unless agreed in writing, the Renting Party must vacate the premises by 10am on the last day of your booking, to allow for cleaning and preparing the Property for other bookings. Failure to vacate the Property by the Check-out time may render the Renting Party liable to additional cost.

7. Rights of Access
The Owner, their representatives or their subcontractors have the right of access to the property at any time, with due regard to the convenience of the Renting Party, to enable them to inspect the Property or to carry out any essential repair or maintenance work.

8. Responsibilities
The Owner cannot be held responsible for any circumstances beyond their control for any reason including, but not limited to, the Property being uninhabitable, mechanical breakdown, failure of any public service or supply. The Renting Party is responsible for ensuring that no person will do anything which could endanger, invalidate or render void or voidable, the policy of the Owner’s insurers in respect of the Property and its contents.

9. Injury and Damage
Neither the Owner, nor their representatives, are responsible or can be held liable for any personal injury to the Renting Party or for the loss or damage to their personal property, howsoever arising, during the Booking period.

10. Insurance
The Booking does not include any insurance cover for the Renting Party of any kind. It is strongly recommended that insurance is taken out by the Renting Party against Cancellation, Personal Accident and Medical cover.

11. Cancellation of Booking.
In the unlikely event that the Property becomes unavailable, due to circumstances beyond the control of the Owner, the Renting Party will be offered alternative accommodation or a full refund of the payment made. Any such refund will be restricted to the cost of the Booking of the Property. If the Renting Party cancel their Booking more than two months prior to their arrival, then 1/3 of the rental payment paid in respect of the Booking will  be refunded in full, less any cost incurred, but only if the Property is re-rented for the same period at the same rate. If the Renting Party cancel their Booking less than two months prior to their arrival, then the rental payment is due in full but will be refunded, less any cost incurred, only if the Property is re-rented for the same period at the same rate.
